The Birch Grove nurses conduct Hearing and Vision screenings annually for students in Kindergarten and First Grade. These screenings are generally completed before the winter break. The nurse will report any problems in these areas to the parents.
If your child fails the vision screening and is referred for an eye exam, and your child does not have vision insurance, please contact the school nurse for information on assistance.
